In order to proceed during these uncertain times whilst maintaining the safety of our current and prospective tenants, we have made several reforms in our application process for the coming academic year 2021/22.
We are committed to ensuring that all prospective tenants for the coming year are provided with as much information as possible to make an informed choice about their future home. For example, all of our properties come with professional-standard floor-plans, video viewings, and an extensive inventory which will be provided upon enquiry.
Should any prospective tenants decide to proceed with an application, they will each first be required to pay a £50 holding deposit which will reserve the property for up to 14 days. Then, once the applications are received, we will send the tenants’ guarantors an online form to complete.
The quicker these forms are returned to us, the more time the students will have to book an optional physical viewing of the property, so we ask that you can complete these at the earliest possible convenience to avoid the possibility of the tenants missing out.
Following this, the tenants will have the opportunity to physically view their chosen property, and we will send them a digital tenancy agreement and they will then need to sign and return to us.
An example copy of this digital tenancy agreement can be found here https://student-housing.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Example-Tenancy-Agreemnt.pdf
Here at Student Housing, we are committed to ensuring that a tenant’s time living with us is as hassle-free as possible so they can focus on their studies. All of our properties are bills-inclusive, and our maintenance team are happy to resolve any issues that may arise over the course of a tenancy. In addition to this, last year 97% of our tenants’ deposits were returned in full.
We understand that the ongoing pandemic has caused widespread disruption, and we appreciate your cooperation going forward.
