What do your houses include?

All our properties include furniture, this will include a place to study, sleep, store clothing. In the kitchens all our properties are supplied with a Microwave & we include hoovers for communal areas.

We don’t include a kettle, toaster, mop or bucket

Do you allow non-students?

Sure! If your’e a recent graduate or a group of young professionals, you’re eligible to rent our properties. Council tax isn’t charged to students, but non students are required to pay council tax during their tenancy

Do you allow pets?

Sometimes! All our houses are owned by individual landlords, if you’d like to bring a pet with you to your new home, email us before and we’ll speak with your landlord to gain permission for you

Do we need to weed the garden?

Yup! You’re required to ensure the garden is provided in the same condition we gave it to you in, we have gardening tools in the office you’re able to borrow throughout your tenancy. You’re not required to cut grass or prune trees / bushes.

How do I return my keys?

You need to hand your keys to us in person at our office

Do we need to clean?

Yes, you must return the property in the same condition it was provided to you.

What do we do in an emergency?

If we’re open or closed, call us on 01522 410 646, we have an out of hours call centre open 24/7 to help support you and resolve urgent issues night and day!

How do we report maintenance?

If you spot something not working as it should, please let us know as soon as possible, report it online at www.Student-Housing.co.uk/fix

What should we bring with us?

When you collect your keys you’ll need to bring your passport to prove you have the right to rent in the UK. We can accept other forms of documents (eg your Drivers Licence with a copy of your birth certificate)

Do I need a guarantor?

No.

If you’ve got someone in the UK over the age of 18 willing to provide a guarantee – Great!
If not; you’ll need to either use a company to guarantee your tenancy, or pay your entire rent and deposit up front prior to moving in.

Do we pay the £50 each?

Yes, each member of the group will need to submit their own application, once all applications are in, we’ll reserve the house for you for up to 14 days. You’ll need to sign your tenancy agreement within 14 days of application or you could lose your holding deposit!

How do we apply for accommodation?

Online! Head to www.Student-Housing.co.uk/apply to submit your applications, If you’re applying as part of a group, we’ll need all members of the group to fill in an application each. There’s a £50 holding deposit due (each), to secure the booking, the £50 then comes off your first month’s rent!

Are bills included?

Yes All our advertised rents include gas, water and electricity usage during your stay, the Internet and TV licences are provided free of charge.

Is the £50 holding deposit refundable?

Yes; If we can’t provide a tenancy to the property, we’re able to refund you.
No: If you decide you no longer want the property, we’re not able to refund you.

Where should we live?

It’s up to you! We offer houses and apartments all over the City, all accommodation is suitable for students, so the choice really is yours!

How long is the tenancy?

You can choose either a 51 week, 102 week or 153 week tenancy, we always give existing tenants the oppertunity to renew, but the only way to guarantee no rent increase in your 2nd or 3rd year is to sign for a longer tenancy.

How do I book viewings?

You can either call, email or Whatsapp us to book your viewings, you’re welcome to view as many properties as you like, but can only book a maximum of 4 properties on each booking.
